JOB OVERVIEW
Kyosk Digital Services Ltd seeks the addition of an interested and competent Purchasing Officer as part of its team in Kampala.
The job summary is that the officer is directly involved in the supply, i.e, buying goods from suppliers and ensuring they are delivered to the warehouse on time without errors in quantity. The officer is also required to build professional relationships with the company's suppliers.
The Officer will directly report to the Purchasing Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities
Payments
- Required to prepare Local Purchasing Orders from all the supplier warehouses to be approved by the Purchasing Manager.
- Then send all the LPOs to the designated suppliers to confirm the deliveries.
- Follow up the orders to ensure they are delivered on time.
Purchasing
- Ensure that all LPO targets are met as per orders.
- Follow up with accounts to ensure required payments are made.
- Negotiate for discounts and the best prices.
Stock Management
- Regularly monitor warehouse stock levels and give feedback.
- Monitor and Update Inventory Prices where necessary
- Give advice on stocking up where necessary.
Supplier management:
- Organise and manage official meetings with vendors and suppliers.
- Make proper communication in case of damages, expiry dates with suppliers, and seek solutions.
- Monitor and update Supplier agreement files and records.
- Search for the best deals from suppliers.
Data Management:
- Ensure that purchase records are accurate.
- Prepare relevant purchasing reports for meetings
- Analyze the data to make sense
Market Analysis:
- Continuously monitor market trends, study competitors' business strategies, and look for the best low-budget suppliers.
Any other duties within the purchasing department as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

Education Requirements and Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain
- Knowledgeable on purchasing functions with a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably within retail
- Able to add value, reduce costs, and contribute to business improvements
