Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Regularly Post and schedule engaging content across AIRD’s social media platforms ( Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram)
- To monitor audience engagement and provide recommendations to improve reach and interaction.
- Assist in drafting Captions and selecting visuals for social media posts.
- Design Flyers, info graphics, bulletins and capacity statements that effectively communicate AIRD’s work.
- Create visually appealing Power Point templates for internal and external use.
- Support the development of branded social media templates.
- Collect and organize field photos and success stories that showcase our impact.
- Draft short human interest stories for digital platforms.
- Assist in compiling content for AIRD’s quarterly bulletin or newsletter.
- Upload and Manage Content on the organisation’s website.
- Assist in organizing and archiving communication materials.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative communication ideas.
- Support other communication related duties when called upon.
Qualifications and Competencies
The Candidate should;
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design or any related field.
- Have strong writing, editing and story telling techniques.
- Possess basic graphic design skills and can operate Canva, Adobe Photoshop or similar design tools.
- BE familiar with social media management and content scheduling.
- Have an interest in humanitarian work and international development.
- Be able to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
