Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Regularly Post and schedule engaging content across AIRD’s social media platforms ( Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram)
  • To monitor audience engagement and provide recommendations to improve reach and interaction.
  • Assist in drafting Captions and selecting visuals for social media posts.
  • Design Flyers, info graphics, bulletins and capacity statements that effectively communicate AIRD’s work. 
  • Create visually appealing Power Point templates for internal and external use.
  • Support the development of branded social media templates.
  • Collect and organize field photos and success stories that showcase our impact.
  • Draft short human interest stories for digital platforms.
  • Assist in compiling content for AIRD’s quarterly bulletin or newsletter.
  • Upload and Manage Content on the organisation’s website.
  • Assist in organizing and archiving communication materials.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative communication ideas. 
  • Support other communication related duties when called upon.

Qualifications and Competencies

The Candidate should;

  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design or any related field. 
  • Have strong writing, editing and story telling techniques.
  • Possess basic graphic design skills and can operate Canva, Adobe Photoshop or similar design tools.
  • BE familiar with social media management and content scheduling.
  • Have an interest in humanitarian work and international development.
  • Be able to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
