Key Responsibilities and Roles
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Senior Biomedical Engineer for performing the following duties:
- Ensuring all required medical equipment and accessories are available and in good working condition.
- Working with service providers and hired workers to install, maintain, or repair medical equipment.
- Performing scheduled maintenance for medical equipment that is not service contract.
- Installing and adjusting new biomedical equipment according to medical specifications.
- Managing the inventory, making requests, and verifying deliveries of medical equipment, testing equipment, accessories, and other related supplies.
- Performing corrective maintenance on faulty medical equipment and effectively communicating with all department supervisors regarding the ongoing repair of equipment.
- Managing the inventory of maintenance supplies, testing equipment, and accessories of medical equipment.
- Maintaining an inventory of biomedical and electrical hand and powered tools, and testing equipment.
- Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of departmental supplies and accessories.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualification
- Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, or its equivalent from a recognized University/ Institution

Note:
