Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Roles
- Providing technical support in the development and dissemination of guidelines, standards, and regulations on structures and infrastructure development;
- Inspecting farm structures and infrastructure, and energy installations to ensure compliance with occupational safety and environmental control systems in compliance with applicable regulations;
- Providing guidance to farmers regarding designing and developing of farm structures, infrastructure and post-harvest storage facilities for coffee;
- Providing technical support in the implementation of capacity building programmes and activities for the coffee farming communities on appropriate storage and primary processing technologies;
- Inspecting coffee processing plants and holding structures and infrastructure to ensure adherence to operating standards nd guidelines;
- Registering coffee buyers, coffee stores, coffee processors, primary coffee processing factories, wet mills, export trading factories, extractors, and exporters;
- Training, advising and sensitizing sector participants on good handling, processing and storage techniques for the maintenance of good coffee quality at post- harvest level;
- Preparing and submitting infrastructure audit field reports to the Senior Agricultural Officer;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
