JOB DETAILS
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design scientific and technological projects for implementation by UNCST.
- Facilitate the carrying out of pilot projects and demonstrations of new technologies or innovations.
- Coordinate intellectual property and commercialization advisory services of the UNCST.
- Build synergies with the regional centers of excellence in the development of regional STI technology transfer systems.
- Provide intellectual property and commercialization support to upcoming program portfolios in different STI strategic fields.
- Work closely with STI-based institutions to support appropriate technology management services and technology transfer systems.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory and profile of local technologies and innovations with viable commercial value.
- Perform any other UNCST tasks as necessary and as may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree (Hons) in bio-systems, industrial or agricultural engineering or a closely similar field.
- Postgraduate training in technopreneurship, technology or intellectual property management is an added advantage.
- High level of confidence in relating with S&T stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with stakeholders and partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven good reporting and writing skills.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar field.
- Age: not more than 35 years.
