Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for the daily operations of the water supply system, including switching on/off the power source.
• To carry out daily spot checks on the water system, identify and report leakages, and excavate and fix minor repairs on the pipelines.
• Ensure a constant supply of clean and safe water, including adherence to maintenance of hygiene schedules as per standard procedures.
• Reduction of the non-revenue water volumes.
• To ensure timely distribution of water bills to all water consumers as per standard procedure.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the appointing authority.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• The Candidates should hold a relevant National Ordinary Certificate in Plumbing/Engineering/Science from a recognized institution.
• The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year working experience in the water and Sanitation sector.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills.
• The candidate should have a high level of integrity, self-drive, and resilience.
• Should be able to work long hours, including weekends.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Knowing some of the Karamoja Local Languages is an added advantage.
• All applicants should be below 35 years of age.
